Palm Beach Real Estate and Loans: Buyers - Get Ready for a Busy Season in Palm Beach

Current conditions show that we still have a strong Buyers' Market here in Palm Beach County

So, if you and your family were considering purchasing real estate here, the next 5 or 6 months will be critical.

Sales prices are still low and fantastic mortgages (REAL ones) are available.

I've often heard  "Well, we're just going to wait for things to go down a little more".

Quite frankly, how long would you like to wait.... until the property that you really want has been sold to someone else?  If you like it make an offer - people are ready to SELL.

When we go to look at homes for you, you need to bring a checkbook and be prepared to make an offer if you see what you want.

You might not like the way that sounds, but reality can be tough!  You wait, you lose.

No one knows when prices will stop dropping and start heading back up again - people can predict, but those are just educated (I hope) guesses.  I love when people say: "But you're in the business you MUST know!"

Sorry, but if I was psychic, I would have predicted last night's LOTTO numbers and I would not be working right now.

I was contacted by a magazine writer the other day who wanted my predictions for real estate in Palm Beach County.

(If he actually publishes the story - I'll set up a link to it!)

My reply certainly wasn't scientifically based, but here's the gist of it: "Unless people stop wanting year-round beaches, boating, fishing, tennis and especially golf, Palm Beach real estate will be just fine".  He laughed - and also agreed with me.

A colleague of mine - Allison Stewart - posted an excellent article on the cycles of real estate earlier today - click here to read it.

She makes some excellent points, one of which being:

"It is not a question of whether the Real Estate market WILL recover it is now only a question of WHEN."

As a Buyer, the best thing you can do is buy LOW and that's where things are right now.

Marc You are so right.  As a professional, we have seen more buyers lose the house of their dreams, on the presumption it might drop a little lower instead of putting a good offer out there.  They have major regret later on they hesitated.

Foreign Investors who are watching the global economy, recognize that the decline in value of the American dollar against the Euro, Frank, Canadian Dollar, and Pound are presenting OPPORTUNITIES  to capture property in the American Housing Market that Americans are not pursuing.

By the time American buyers get off the fence, it will belong to someone from across the pond!

Good points Allison- I'm already helping out buyers from Canada and Europe - they know that this is the time to get some great deals.

Marc,

You really hit the nail on the hammer. Looks like the Europeans and Candians will be owning this country, if our own buyer are setting of the fence and waiting. THEY'RE NOT!
