2 comments » PGA National Owner's Meeting 9/6/2007 - Making PGA National More PrivateWhen comparing the great Golf / Country Clubs of Palm Beach - PGA National, Ibis, BallenIsles and Mirasol, just to name a few - PGA National is the only one that does NOT have it's main roads gated. Sure, there are Security booths at all of the entrances, but non-Residents are allowed free access because the main roads belong to Palm Beach County. This has been an annoyance for quite some time - and most, if not all, Property Owners (myself included) have wanted to correct this problem. Well, it looks like it's finally going to happen!
The PGA Property Owners Association has been working with the County to finally implement access control. One of the County's requirements is that there be a Public Meeting to discuss the plans and this Meeting is scheduled for 9/6/2007 @ 7:00 PM at the PGA Resort. The current plan is to start modifying access between 9PM and 6AM so that only Property Owners will have access - if Guests are expected, the Resident will have to clear them in advance with PGA Security. HOPEFULLY - once this plan is up and running, we won't be too far from having 24 hour restricted access. Of course this will increase the security of the Community. In addition, it should also make our real estate much more valuable! I will be at the meeting and I will report on the results on 9/7/2007.
