My Vote for the Worst Advertisement of the Year-

Good Morning Everyone-

In general, I try not to be too negative - if I ever get TOO bad, I'm sure the local newspapers will try to hire me to write front page stories for them! LOL

As I was driving into the office this morning I heard an ad on the radio that made me sick - a classic example of a sleazy mortgage ploy.

It had the usual- talk about a rate that's very hard to get.... blah, blah.

The worst part came at the end where they actually say that they donate $ from every closed loan to a children's' charity.

If that isn't the most pathetic attempt to beg for business, I don't know what is!

The mortgage industry and the people in it have a bad enough reputation due to the bad element that has been allowed to exist within it for so long - this sorry ad does nothing to raise the image.

Next a Brokerage will announce "Money for the starving with every Listing" -

Don't get me wrong - I have nothing against donations - but using the thought of them to guilt someone into using your company is beyond disgusting.

Marc, I think the worst part is that a lot of people fall for their scams......it's pretty sad.

A portion of this comment is dedicated to the troops serving over seas.

Now, let me show you a picture of a starving child too.
