The BallenIsles Beach Bikers are at it again!

Once again they've brought the need to battle Multiple Sclerosis to the forefront by participating in The 2010 Zimmerman MS Bike Ride.

Here's an excerpt from their website:

"We've formed a team for the 2010 Zimmerman MS Bike Ride Presented by Mack Cycle and Fitness because we know that riding 150 miles is nowhere near as difficult as confronting a lifetime with multiple sclerosis. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society gives us all reason to hope, though. In addition to supporting novel research projects around the globe, they also provide much needed education, programs, and services to everyone who is affected by MS - including the diagnosed, their friends and families, and the healthcare professionals who work with them."

They've already raised several thousand dollars for the cause this year, but there's always room for more-

BallenIsles has a club - the 'Beach Bikers' - that is overdue for some praise!

In April this group of 8 cyclists participated in the MS Ride from Miami to Key Largo and Back - a round trip of 150 miles.

Everyone rode at least 100 miles and five of the eight completed the entire course - even with some horrible headwinds on the second day.

As an ex-cyclist myself (mainly time-trials) I can vouch for the fact that this is no easy feat....

The return trip was finished off with a lap around the Homestead Race Track.

The BallenIsles Beach Bikers raised over $8,000 for Multiple Sclerosis research this year!
